Well, it’s been quite a while, but letting go takes time. So does reincarnation, I imagine.
Beth Beverly of Diamond Tooth Taxidermy did an incredible job staging the viewing of Andria Bibiloni at the Rotunda in Philadelphia, and the event was well attended by friends and art enthusiasts alike. Last month, an exhibition of the sound blasting tricycle, clothing, video footage and other artifacts from the event including the two hour sound track arranged by Armando Morales brought closure for many. She’s gone, but at times I still find I AM having a hard time letting go.
And now, in another twist of fate, I will be returning after all these years to the birthplace of our dear departed. I’ll be leaving Ms. Bibiloni here napping indefinitely in the City of Brotherly Love while I make my way back to the City that Never Sleeps. Will anyone know me back home, with a different ID? Saying goodbye to friends in Philly will be much harder than losing Ms. B, but I promise to visit often so you won’t forget the new ME.
