Talk about getting personal, here is an example of the type of emails that I receive on an almost daily basis:

Other messages inform me: I am not Jewish at all, but instead, I am a f#@*ing spic; I should be raped by 15 guys, all at the same time; I speak the truth, my words come directly from G-d; I am an embarrassment to all Jewish people; I am a latina whore…

I am a performance artist.  But my real life always crosses over with my performance life.  How could it not?

*Most people never believe me when I tell them I am 100% Puerto Rican.  Bibiloni, or Biblioni, or however you may say it, sounds Italian to people.  My father Mario Bibiloni Jr. says that our ancestors were horse thieves from Spain.   Apparently, Bibiloni is a very common surname in Mallorca.

As an internet artist I spend hours and hours every week googling.   I am fascinated by the structures that control the dissemination of information- structures that give meaning, prioritize, penalize, validate, and negate- existing economic, social, and cultural values.

As was the case with your Tio Francisco, confusing me for you, I wonder how long it will be until images of you begin appearing in my google image search.

I’m inspired by your hard work and commitment to physical improvement.  Does using a circular saw count as upper body strengthening? When Pepón took this picture, I was learning how to cut plywood for the first time.  He had me measuring and cutting so fast, it felt like a workout.  As I would later realize, he was training me for something else.

On most weeks I try to exercise every day except for 1 (usually this day is chosen in accordance with laziness or convenience.)

• 3 days are spent at the gym
• 2 days running outside
• 1 day Zumba-ing at home

Last week was jam packed with packing, moving, and unpacking. With all of this work, I ended up missing 3 gym days. I also spent 3 days with less than 3 hours of sleep. And to compensate for my complete exhaustion, I ate and ate just to keep myself from passing out.

This week, I know I really need to push myself hard to get back to where I was at the beginning of last.  But that is what I find to be so cool about the human body; that it is something that can be molded and sculpted and modified with dedication.

Tonight’s workout class really kicked my butt.  The trainers had us do crossover explosive pushups, spiderman pushups, star jumps, sumo squats, hip crossover windshield wipers, toe touches, weighted jumping jacks, 180 squat jumps, crossover planks, and more…

I am glad I hung in there.  I know I’ll be SORE tomorrow.  But I love the feeling of a post-workout burn!
